Monthly Tip
Cleaning out the lint build up inside your
dryer is very important.  The accumulation
of lint can catch fire and spread to your
home. The lint will also act as insulation
on your motor and cause premature
failure.  All dryers and there vents should
be cleaned at least once a year. Doing
this will keep your family safe and your
dryer operating.
Please remember that working on appliances can be dangerous.  Appliances have many
mechanical and electrical parts that can cause serious injury and death.  If you aren't familiar
with these types of applications then please call a qualified appliance technician. Lane
Appliance LLC and this site accept no responsibility for injuries to person or damage to
appliances.
If your Roper ice maker will not stop making ice even when placing the arm
up, in the off position, then it may have a broken lever in the ice maker
module.

Start by unplugging the refrigerator.

Remove the Module cover by grasping and pulling toward you and slightly
up.  Use a small flat head screwdriver if necessary to gently pry cover away
from module.

Remove the ice maker arm by grasping it close to the ice maker and
pushing it toward the back of the freezer.  Take extra care not to bend the
arm.  Don't force it!  Sometimes it takes a little finesse.

Once the cover is removed, and the ice maker arm disconnected, remove
the three screws that fasten the ice maker module to the ice maker. Now
pull the module away from the ice maker.  You can now visibly check the
module components and levers for damage.

If damage is found, replace module.
